God's Salvation Plan

Do you have a home in Heaven? If you were to die today, are you 100% sure you would go to Heaven?

Your salvation is a matter between you and God, but it deserves a few minutes of your attention. Please read what the Bible says:

1. First, we must all realize and recognize our sinful condition.

Romans 3:10-12: "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one."

Romans 3:23: "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God..." The Bible says we are all guilty of sinning at some time in our lives. None of us regardless of who we are are good enough to deserve Heaven. Would you agree that at some time in your life, you sinned and broke God’s commandments?

2. Secondly, we must realize that a price must be paid for our sin.

Romans 6:23: "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Our sin brings death, and after death we will be judged for our sin. Sin will be punished forever in a place called Hell.

Romans 5:12: "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned."

Hebrews 9:27: "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment…"

3. Thirdly, we must realize and acknowledge that Jesus Christ paid the price that WE owe for sin.

Romans 5:8-9: "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him."

God loved us so much, and is willing that none should perish, that gave His only Son, to die for our sin. Even though we do not deserve it, Jesus Christ became the sacrifice for sin when He died on the cross that reconciles and atones for our sin. By His merit and His substitutional death, we are accepted and justified with God, and can be “saved” from the wrath or punishment that we deserve because of our sin.

4. Finally, God commands us to repent of our sin, and confess Jesus Christ as Saviour to receive forgiveness of sin.

Romans 10:9-10, 13: "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Realizing our condition before God, and the condemnation that our sin brings, God commands that we acknowledge our lost condition, repent, and turn in faith to the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation. When we repent, we admit that our sin is wrong, and our ways are wrong in view of God’s law and righteousness.

We must then exercise faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ as the only means of salvation. By trusting Jesus Christ alone by faith, we receive the righteousness of God and receive eternal life to come, in Heaven.

If you understand you need to be saved in order to go to Heaven, you should pray now, and ask Jesus Christ to forgive you, and save you NOW - tomorrow may be too late. You could pray something like this:

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I deserve to be punished for my sin. I know I deserve to go to Hell. I now realize That you died for me, and paid for my sin. I ask you to forgive me, and take me to Heaven when I die. I trust you as my Saviour. Thank you for saving me, and help me to live for you, in Jesus’ name, AMEN.

No church, baptism, no amount of good works, can save you. Only faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. But you must believe in YOUR heart, and confess with YOUR mouth. Salvation is a relationship with a person – the Lord Jesus Christ. Be sure you know Him today! If you really mean business when you prayed that prayer with a repentance heart (to learn more about what true repentance means, click here) and your wiliness to live daily for Christ, then you are save eternally!!
